The European Commission has revamped its Finflows database to provide a comprehensive quarterly view of financial stocks and flows across instruments, institutional sectors, and OECD and offshore countries since 2000. By capturing cross-border financial linkages and sectoral interdependencies in a consistent framework, the dataset offers a valuable resource for analysing global financial integration and systemic risk. This presentation introduces the dataset and its methodology, explains how to access the data and documentation, and highlights selected stylised facts. Following expert commentary, participants will have the opportunity for Q&A.
