The call for papers for the European Central Bank’s Young Economist Prize 2023 is now open for PhD students in economics or finance until 13 February 2023. Selected applicants will be invited to present their research to top policymakers and academics at the ECB Forum on Central Banking in Sintra (Portugal) from 26 June to 28 June 2023 and to win €10,000.

This prize is an opportunity for young researchers to contribute to the future of Europe with their innovative research and for universities to enhance their international reputation as selected finalists become ambassadors representing their academic institutions at the ECB’s flagship conference.

Papers will be assessed by a jury of top academics and senior ECB staff, taking into account votes to be cast by Forum participants. Please see the prize rules and privacy statement for further details.
