Publications
SUERF has always been active in publication and further dissemination of original research. It currently publishes a a series called the SUERF Studies and the selected proceedings from its colloquia. Details of past series can be found in the archive section.
About SUERF publications:
All SUERF publications (most notably submissions to the SUERF Studies
and the Colloquia) are refereed. With the Colloquia publications several
refereeing stages are applied. The first stage relates to the review
of submissions of papers to appear in the Colloquium programme. The
second stage (after the full paper has been submitted) relates to
the decision whether or not the paper is to be included in the Colloquium
publications. In addition, there is a further refereeing stage for those
authors who are eligible for the Marjolin Prize. We have to bear in
mind that, as Colloquia have become more popular and a recognised
outlet for research, the number of papers submitted to colloquia has
steadily increased. For instance, a total of at least 90 papers were
submitted to the most recent Colloquium and yet only 46 could
be accepted. Equally, submissions for the Colloquium publications have a maximum of twenty
papers (this also applies to the Keynote Addresses).
When refereeing a manuscript for the SUERF Studies the normal procedure
is that all members of the Editorial Board review the paper and
feed comments to a designated member of the Board who is responsible
for co-ordinating the refereeing process for the particular manuscript.
The current membership of the SUERF Editorial Board is:
The Board welcomes submissions of manuscripts for inclusion in
the SUERF Studies series. We aim to give authors a decision within
six weeks. Equally, members of the Board are happy to discuss proposals
for SUERF Studies before a manuscript has been finalised and even
at a very early stage.
