The objectives of SUERF are:

• To promote contacts between academics and practitioners, whether in the private or public sector, and to encourage discussion on monetary and financial questions;

• To sponsor and publish original research in these areas by both experienced and by young academics;

• To organise international meetings, focusing on topics central to its members' interests, where appropriate, in combination with other like-minded bodies.
